Bridgette grew up in Grays Ferry having attended St. Gabriel's Elementary School, and later St. Maria Goretti High School, her obituary says. She went on to pursue a career in the legal field, ultimately working toward becoming a paralegal, according to her obituary.
"Her intelligence, ambition, and commitment to her work were admired by her colleagues, friends and family," reads her obituary, which notes she was also passionate about her work as a makeup artist, and her ability to make others feel seen and special.
More than $13,000 had been raised as of Saturday, April 29 on a GoFundMe for Bridgette's funeral expenses.
"Bridgette was a funny, loving, caring beautiful sassy soul," the campaign reads. "She loved everybody, Bridgette loved life, Bridgette was a paralegal and just received her notary license, Bridgette was on her path of success in life, this was so unexpected and we were never prepared. but really are we ever?
"Her time here was cut short and that's not fair."
